Baseball today has been canceled.

Please welcome Blake Allen to the Weaubleau Community. Blake has been an assistant basketball coach at Hillcrest, Thayer and most recently Willard. Coach Allen will serve as our boys basketball coach and PE teacher starting the 2021-2022 school year. We asked Coach Allen a few questions so you could get to know him.
Where are you from? Thayer, Missouri
Why did you choose to get into K-12 education? I always loved school
growing up and realized the impact some of my teachers and coaches
had on myself throughout the years. I've always looked up to them and
wanted to, one day, have the same impact on students that they had on
myself.
Who was your favorite teacher in school and why? English teacher
Trudy Britton. Her classes were always enjoyable and one to look
forward to each day.
Who inspires you? My former high school coach Matt Pitts. He's always
been there for me throughout the years as I've pursued the same career
path, held me accountable, and taught me how to be a part of something
bigger than myself.
Where is your favorite place in the world? Arrowhead Stadium
What are you passionate about? Overcoming adversity, not just myself
but being able to be a part of the process and having an impact on
helping others do the same.
What is your favorite movie? Remember The Titans
Who would you most like to swap places with for ● a day? Bill Self
What is your favorite meal? Sushi
Who is your favorite superhero? Captain America
If you were a crayon what color would you be? Green
Anything else you would like to tell us about yourself? I'm really excited
and looking forward to getting started this summer and becoming a part of the Weaubleau community.

PLEASE WELCOME MARA STOKES TO THE WEAUBLEAU FAMILY! WE ASKED HER A FEW QUESTIONS SO YOU COULD GET TO KNOW HER.
Where are you from?
I have lived right here in Hickory County my whole life and currently live on a farm outside of Wheatland.
Why did you choose to get into k-12 education?
In school I had several influential teachers who made a positive impact on me. They helped shape me into the person I am today and I hope to be that person for my students. I love building relationships with my students and seeing their academic and personal growth throughout the year.
Who was your favorite teacher in school and why?
My favorite teacher was probably my health and gym teacher/softball coach, Coach P. He taught me to play a sport that I loved and all through highschool he pushed me to be the best I could be in the classroom, on the field, and as a person.
Who inspires you?
My two sons inspire me to be the best I can be every single day!
Where is your favorite place in the world?
I would have to say at home with my family but a close second would be a deer stand, in the woods, on a cold November morning.
What are you passionate about?
Caring for and teaching children. I truly love my job as a mother and an educator and couldn't imagine doing anything different!
What is your favorite meal?
A steak, perfectly cooked, with some mashed potatoes and green beans.
What is your secret talent?
I can play the piano!
What is your favorite family tradition?
My favorite tradition has always been Christmas morning with my boys, followed by a big family dinner.
Anything else you would like to tell us about yourself?
I am so excited for this new opportunity and look forward to being a part of the Weaubleau school district and community!
